Creating a New Blog

To begin with, forget that it's called "Blogger." The following steps will enable you to create an entire teacher Web site from scratch or even bring things over from another Web site you may have already made in iWeb or other Web site creation tool.

1. Log in to your school email.

2. Once in your email, click the 9-square apps button in the upper right corner next to your name.

3. Click "More" to see even more apps, and then click "Blogger."

4. Click the "New Blog" button.

5. In the Title box, type your name (I advise you put here what your students call you, something like "Mr. Kindt").

6. In the Address box, you should type your first initial then last name then a hyphen then ladueschools (so my address would be "kkindt-ladueschools").

7. Keep the simple Template because we will modify this later using a template I have made for you, which you can further modify--just click "Create blog!"

8. Now you can click your name in the list of your blogs and start blogging!

That's it! You have started your new teacher Web site in Blogger! Now you are ready to give this site some brains....
