IV - Posts

(Note: You can follow the steps below or watch the short video below the steps.)

1. On your Blogger Dashboard, click "Posts."

2. You will see a test Post I created and that you imported earlier. Go ahead and hover over it and click "Delete" to remove this test Post.

3. Click the "New post" button. Looks like a Word or Google Document, doesn't it? This is what makes a teacher Web site so easy to update and maintain with Blogger!

4. Go ahead and create your first Post by typing in a welcoming greeting to your students and parents. Feel free to use the formatting tools at the top. You can even easily add a picture if you like by clicking the "Insert image" button on the tool bar. Be sure to give it a "Post title" and then in the white space below, compose a short greeting, then click the "Publish" button.

5. You have published your first Post for your site, and it is live right now--click the "View blog" button to see things as your students and parents will see them. This will open a new tab in your browser and permit you to toggle between authoring your site and viewing it as a browser of your site. You can see your greeting on the front page of your site.

You have done your first Post, the heart of Blogger--now to strengthen the Pages, the muscles of Blogger.
